We’ve visited quite a few senior communities to discuss what we do and how we can work together with them. From social workers to marketing directors, here are some commonly asked questions we get asked!
- Do you only buy houses that need work? – NO! We’ll buy any type of house, in any condition. New homes, old homes, big homes, small homes. Even land or commercial buildings. One of the first homes we bought via a referral from a senior living community was a home in Norman that was only 5 years old and needed nothing in repairs. The seller wanted to move into his chosen community in 15 days so we rushed everything and got the deal done in 15 days despite a hail storm hitting his house the day before closing.
- How should I tell potential residents about your company? – Two ways here. 1) Make sure they get one of our tri-fold pamphlets. It outlines who we are, what we do, and all of that. 2) Get permission for us to contact your potential clients anytime you notice they need to sell a home before moving into your community, ask them right then and there, “Is it ok if I have Mike with Mom & Dad’s house give you a call? He’ll present you an option to sell your house as-is, no obligation to you.” 90% of people won’t mind if we call them. When you get that permission, just text or email the phone number to Mike Weigel and he’ll call them immediately. The most sure-fire way is to give us their contact information so we can make sure contact is made. If someone only gets our pamphlet there is a 50/50 chance they’ll call and if they could really use our services, we’ll never be able to help them.
- What if you go see a house but don’t end up buying it? We will always make a home owner an offer. For most folks, we are a great option. However, we’ll be the first to admit that we aren’t always the best fit for everyone just like your community might not be the best fit for every possible resident out there. You can rely on us to always treat folks you refer to us with fairness and honesty. If the homeowner decides they don’t want to sell to us, we’ll gladly help them any way we can.
